Terms and Conditions

 

Overview
The Guild offers its members two options for a website. 'Level One: Full Website' is a standalone site with a domain name selected by you.  'Level Two: Single Webpage' is a single page attached to the Guild site. This is not a stand alone site, but a page within the Guild’s site. 

 

Hosting

Level One sites are hosted through reputable, third party web hosting companies that we research and select for you.  Level Two pages are hosted within the Guild's existing pacrafts.org website. 

 

Fees

1.  Members contract on an annual basis for one year or 12 months of web services.  Partial years are not available.
2.  Payment is due 30 days prior to activation or renewal.

Requirements

You must have a valid email address to apply.  Please use the online order form  www.pacrafts.org/getonline to submit your information.  Images must be submitted separately via mail on a disk or by email.  For image submission needs go here.

 

Updates to the web site

Each site level comes with a set number of updates provided annually. Additional updates are subject to additional fees and may change your annual renewal rate.

 

Renewal, Cancellation and Other Conditions

Your web contract is for 12 months service.  Setup fees are not refundable.  If you are dissatisfied with your website within 30 days of activation, we will refund your annual service fee.  Timely renewals are critical and due 30 days before the renewal cycle.  Failure to pay on time means your page or website is deleted and new setup fees will be required.  In addition, your domain name could be lost if the site is not active.

 

Content
Content is controlled by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and must be appropriate for all ages.  We do not re-write.  We will do our best to catch typos, but you are responsible for spelling and grammar.  Changes to submitted misspellings and grammar will count towards your annual update limits.  Please be careful to check twice.
 
Online Order
By following our online order forms, you will submit all of the necessary information.  This is an overview of that information and how it will be used.

For Level One web sites, please provide:

  • Domain Name.  This is the name of your site, (www.mywebsite.com). The Guild registers your domain and the charges are part of your annual fee. Additional domain names may be registered and pointed to your site. Contact the guild for information and charges.
  • Templates: There are three different templates that you may choose. Once selected, the template is used for loading and maintaining your site content. Examples of the templates are available online at www.pacrafts.org/getonline.
  • Color Choice: Four different color choices are included in the price.  Customized colors are available for a one time additional fee of $20.  An exact html color code must be provided (for code info: here).  Once a color is chosen, it may not be changed without an additional fee.
  • Content: The content of your site is split into four pages:
    • Main page: contains the title and short bio. One picture is allowed here. The main page contains a menu to the three other pages of your site.
    • Gallery: Up to 30 images of your work set up as thumbnails which expand when clicked.  Please include one headshot if you would like that included on your About page.  Image requirements here.
    • Where to Find: Your show schedule and listing of galleries and shops where your work is available for purchase.
    • About: More extensive BIO, artist’s statement and contact information. 
For Level Two webpage, please provide:
  • Your Site Name: Up to fifteen characters without punctuation. This is how your site is identified. (www.pacrafts.org/mysitename)
  • Contact information and a short bio, up to 100 words.
  • Your show schedule and where your work is available for purchase.
  • Up to four images, of a size suitable for the web.
