Job title: Program Coordinator—Full Time

Description: Full time opportunity for a motivated, cheerful and organized person to join the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, an award-winning, statewide nonprofit serving 1500 professional artists and craftsmen and the general public. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent people and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Must have strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Excel, Filemaker Pro. Experience with design and web software a plus). Duties include coordinating all aspects of our three successful Fine Craft Fairs including show layout & design, public relations, site coordination, database registrations, mailings, working with volunteers, and communications. Individual will also be responsible for internal communications for the organization including web updates and newsletters. Additional duties as assigned. Reports to executive director. Some evenings and weekends are mandatory. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Annual salary up to $25,000 based on experience including health benefits, parking space, etc. Our two fall 2009 shows are detailed on our website and would be excellent events to witness for those truly interested in applying. This is a one-year position based on funding with an excellent likelihood of renewal.

Education, experience and special requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Prefer 2-4 years of experience in events coordination.
  • Volunteer experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Office and database (design and web a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required.
  • Experience in arts non-profits preferred.
Location: Lancaster, PA. Downtown office.
