{Lapidary}

This workshop is being offered in association with the Tuscarora Lapidary Society, Inc. of Media PA.

Make something beautiful out of rough rock! In this two-day workshop students will learn how to shape and polish cabochons.  A variety of natural materials such as jaspers and agates will be available for your use (you may bring your own rough as well).

The workshop is for both beginning students who have no previous lapidary experience as well as for intermediate students who wish to advance and sharpen their skills.

Students will learn how to use a diamond trim saw as well as diamond grinding, sanding and polishing equipment.  Beginning students in recent workshops have completed four or five cabs in the two day session.

This workshop will be held at the L. Howard Freeman Skill Center of the Tuscarora Lapidary Society (TLS) in Media, PA.  TLS is a nonprofit organization devoted to the promotion of the lapidary hobby and of the arts and sciences associated with lapidary interests.  Detailed directions and information on what to bring will be mailed upon registration.
