To Submit Digital Images

Here are some options for you, both of which will be acceptable.

• If you already have images in the Zapplication® format you may submit them. The images will be 1920 x 1920 pixels in size with black filling in the sides or top and bottom of rectangular images.

• You may also submit images that are a minimum of 1400 pixels on the long side up to a maximum of 4000 pixels. Images may be square or rectangular provided they are not outside these dimensions.  Do not add a background color or border to your images. We will display your images on a black background.

Files of your images should be named  LastnameFirstName1.jpg (For example, SmithJohn1.jpg.  Use 1-5 to match your description on the application.) Upload all five images via our online show application. If submitting a paper application through the mail, burn all five images onto a CD-ROM, name it “LastnameFirstname2011.” Write this on the CD with a felt tip pen. CDs are not returned.

Adjustment of your images to fit within the above limits can easily be accomplished using a free program like Pixlr; however several other programs let you adjust image size and save them as jpegs. For example in Photoshop go to Image –> Image Size. Make sure you have checked ‘Constrain Proportions” and ‘Resample Image’ and then set the Pixel Dimensions. Click OK and do a ‘Save As’ using jpeg format.
