I have been making traditional hand-hooked rugs and wallhangings for fifteen years. My hooked rugs have been juried into the Directory of Traditional American Crafts, published by EARLY AMERICAN LIFE. I am the author of the book: THE COMPLETE NATURAL DYEING GUIDE. Before becoming involved in rug hooking, I was a painter and printmaker. I have artworks in the permanent collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, both in Washington, D.C. I consider my painting background to be an important part of the fiber art I do today.
