- A Spring Day to Dye For - Naturally!
May 17, 2019
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Instructor: Carol Reed
Skill Level: Beginner
Join us and explore dyeing with locally grown and foraged plant and eucalyptus leaves. We will transfix color from plants many ways: through bundle dyeing – free form layering of petals and leaves, hammering color on cloth using India Flints “Hapa Zome” technique and dyeing with marigold petals. Natural dye essentials will be covered including mordanting, creating the dyes and care of your creations. Students will leave with a cotton bandana, a large cotton gauze scarf, and a bundle dyed wool gauze scarf.
Please note *** A materials fee of $45 is due to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
