Beginning Stained Glass
Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th
9:00am – 4:00pm

In this 2 day class, you will get an understanding of safety measures associated with working with glass, solder, lead came and chemicals used in creating works in stained glass. Introduction to and use of the tools and techniques to create works in stained glass. Students will learn how to score and break glass – both straight lines and curves; how to shape glass using a grinder; copper foil technique for preparing a panel for soldering; soldering and finishing the panel with a lead came frame.

Students complete a stained glass panel of approximately one square foot, choosing among several patterns provided by the instructor. No prior experience required.
