Beginning Wheel Pottery Clay at the York Town Chapter

Fridays Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22 7PM-9PM Class Fee: $225 Materials Fee: $25

Come join master ceramicist, Mario Meneses (owner of Under the Sun Pottery) for this 5-week class will provide students the opportunity to develop skills when creating beautiful pottery on a pottery wheel. The following will be covered over the 5 weeks:

Week 1: Learning to center the clay on the wheel and making plates Week 2: Developing the skill of centering clay on the wheel, making bowls and trimming pieces

Week 3: Advancing the skill of centering clay on the wheel, making cylinders, trimming and glazing

Week 4: Centering clay on the wheel, creating handles for pieces, trimming and glazing

Week 5: Creative class and challenge along with a review of skills learned in weeks 1-4
