    October 10, 2020
    9:00 am - 4:00 pm
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Instructor: Rod Spotts & Barry Mentzer

Skill Level: All Skill Levels

Leave this class with a completed hearth broom made by you from top to bottom! The morning portion of the class focuses on forging the broom handle. In the afternoon, you will learn how to create a round broom with a woven band and attach it to your handle. You’ll be able to skew your day more heavily towards blacksmithing or more heavily towards broom making depending on your interests. You’ll be able to choose from several different designs of handle and broom, too, choosing your own blacksmithing & broom making adventure!

We suggest that you wear cotton clothing. No loose clothes or open-toe shoes, please.

You are welcome to bring a hammer and safety glasses. We will have hammers and safety glasses available to use as well.
