Skill Level: Beginner

In this evening workshop, students will learn fundamental metalsmithing techniques to help begin their journey of metalsmithing and creating bench fabricated jewelry! Local jeweler, Jessica Keemer, will show students ways to transform sheet metal through soldering, texturizing with hammers and stamps, and finishing techniques including how to high polish or satin finish your work.

Tools and machinery used will include jewelers saw frame, Acetelyne/air torches, metalsmithing hammers, metal stamps, Foredom flex shaft, and tumbling machine.

Copper sheet metal will be provided for test projects and sterling silver sheet for one final project.
