Learn how to make your very own copper weathervane in this 4-hour class! Solid copper sheet metal is cut to shape using provided patterns, Hand hammered to shape; a chemical patina is then applied. An aged pine base is supplied. Several traditional design patterns to choose from: pig, fish, rooster, angel, and distalfink (thistle finch). Soldering is demonstrated and can be completed as needed by the instructor.
Weathervanes are approximately 5″x 9″ in size.
All materials are included in the tuition.
The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen does not provide cash refunds for cancellation of classes unless the class is canceled by the instructor or the Guild. Students who request a withdrawal at least 7 days prior to the class will receive a 100% tuition class credit.
