Instructor: Jill Antonishak

Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the way we work and live.  There is no easy way through the crisis, but building resilience skills can help you deal with the uncertainty and stress.  Resilience skills provide a reservoir of resources—such as social connections, the ability to draw on strengths, and having a sense of purpose—that strengthen our personal and professional performance and well-being.  In this interactive workshop, we’ll focus on techniques for forward thinking even in the face of stress, change, or uncertainty, and ways to strengthen resilient thinking.  We’ll provide a simple, scientific roadmap for improving your resilience and well-being.

About the Instructor:

Jill Antonishak, PhD is the Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health at TechWerks and 49-North, where she oversees resilience research and training teams working with clients including the Army, Air Force, Navy Special Warfare, Veterans Affairs, and as well as partners in South Australia.  She is a community and developmental psychologist with extensive experience in the development and evaluation of strengths-based prevention programs. Previously Jill served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Congressional Fellow for the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee where she focused on family support and mental health.  She also worked on family support programs at the Pew Charitable Trusts. She received her Ph.D. in Community and Developmental Psychology from the University of Virginia and her B.A. from Goucher College.
