Using a kiln, I fire and fuse a multi-layered collage of hand cut dichroic glass into a symphony of lively yet graceful colors and exceptional depth that makes a visceral impact when the art is viewed live. The image is a play of patterns and graceful movements inspired by nature above and below water. Meticulous care is taken in the presentation where the finished glass is mounted on simple yet well crafted wood box frame and complimented with oxidized copper trim which shares similar sheen to glass. I work alone in the studio. My approach is improvisational, each piece of free-hand cut glass will suggest what the next one will be, often times taking me to unexpected forms and shapes.
